COURSES

Advanced Nursing Foot Care Course

This extensive course provides the skill, knowledge and ability nurses need to provide foot care in either private practice or in a health care setting. By combining both theoretical instruction and hands on clinical practice, this program optimizes the learner’s objectives: becoming a qualified foot care nurse. This course is excellent for both LPNs, RPNs and RNs new to foot care and for experienced foot care nurses who would like to update their practices and is recognized by the Saskatchewan regulatory bodies and many other provinces as well.

Upon successful completion of this course, participants will receive an 84-hour certificate of achievement in advanced nursing foot care practices.

Please note there is a 50-hour pre-study prerequisite that students will receive and can begin to complete upon registration.

This class is offered through a combination of pre-study materials and assignments, live instruction online and a hands-on clinical piece in Saskatoon with multiple dates available for your convenience.

*All equipment necessary to complete this program will be provided and included in the tuition cost.

Basic Plus Nursing Foot Care Course

This course has been developed to enhance and update the skills of Registered Nurses working for the Saskatchewan Health Authority who have been previously trained  in a basic or advanced foot care course and are currently practicing nursing foot care as part of their employment.

Using current and evidence based standards, this course provides both theoretical instruction and hands on clinical practice to increase the skill, knowledge and ability of the foot care nurse.

Upon successful completion of this course, participants will receive an 8 hour certificate for continuing education Basic Nursing Foot Care that will allow them to operate under the scope of practice as outlined by the Saskatchewan Health Authority.

All equipment necessary to complete this program will be provided and is included in the cost of tuition.
